A Message from the President and CEO

Reflecting on last year’s achievements at NorthBay Health, I am proud of our organization's remarkable growth and progress. It’s incredible to see just how transformational 2024 was for NorthBay Health and our community.

2024 marked my first year leading this great organization. In the last 12 months serving as CEO, I have witnessed firsthand the unwavering dedication our team brings each day to delivering the highest-quality care to our communities—their passion is truly inspiring.

This year, we prioritized listening to our communities’ needs and concerns. We’ve heard from many that they want to receive accessible, high-quality care with shorter wait times, utilize technologies like digital health, and desire to be cared for by folks who understand and look out for them. These needs led us to enact a new and bold trajectory for NorthBay Health that underpins our focus on becoming the trusted healthcare partner of choice for the communities we serve by 2030. A key component of this vision is our Ambulatory Network Strategy (ANS), a strategic initiative committed to enhancing care across our region by bringing access to compassionate, convenient healthcare even closer to home.

This carefully crafted plan will build a healthy, bright future for the communities we serve through a renewed, strategic focus on growth and access.

The future for NorthBay Health is vibrant, and our accomplishments in 2024 have reinforced our leadership and commitment to our patients and community.

I want to highlight a few of our standout recognitions:

U.S. News & World Report recognized NorthBay Health as a top regional hospital and the #1 Hospital in Solano County.
NorthBay Health was one of 17 hospitals nationwide to receive the Magnet with Distinction designation for nursing excellence.
We received a Grade “A” from the Leapfrog Group for quality and safety.
We were designated a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), reflecting our commitment to innovation while prioritizing patient safety.

2024 was a definitive year for NorthBay Health, marked by significant transformation and leadership. We’re ready to continue executing the plans we laid out in 2024 and driving meaningful progress for our community.

In 2024, NorthBay Health took decisive steps to reimagine how we operate and serve our communities, setting a new course that positions us for the future while maintaining the advanced care our community deserves. This year, we not only embraced change, but also laid the foundation for a thriving future—one that empowers our community to live longer, healthier, and better lives.

About Us

NorthBay Health opened its doors to patients in 1960 and remains Solano County’s only locally based, locally managed nonprofit healthcare organization. NorthBay Health Medical Center in Fairfield and NorthBay Health VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville are Magnet-certified, a designation conferred to only 17 hospitals nationwide, in recognition of nursing excellence.

Community Benefits

At NorthBay Health, we believe that we have a duty to act as an extension of our community and in their best interests. In addition to the charity care regularly provided by NorthBay Health, the organization actively supports the community through various initiatives that encourage improved health, well-being, and economic vitality.
