Quality Pays Off

NorthBay Healthcare received nearly $3.9 million in 2016 from Partnership HealthPlan of California for reaching quality goals.

The Medi-Cal managed care plan for Solano and several other California counties, Partnership contracts with NorthBay Healthcare for both hospital services and primary care physician services.

The Quality Improvement Programs, one for hospitals and the other for primary care physician practices, provides financial incentives to improve the clinical quality of care and the efficiency of the services they provide.

“The bonus award funds will go into NorthBay's general fund and help pay for ongoing operational expenses, including annual wage adjustments,” according to Theo Rallis, senior director of accounting for NorthBay Healthcare.
