2018 ANNUAL REPORT
An Army of Volunteers
It was another busy year for more than 220 NorthBay Guild volunteers.
They worked tirelessly in the hospitals and gift shops, and volunteered at numerous fundraising events, logging nearly 20,000 hours of service.
The largest fundraiser for the Guild – the Annual Golf Classic – marked its 35th year in 2018. The event raised more than $31,000 with funds earmarked to support NorthBay’s Wish List.
Guild members earmarked funds raised in the hospital lobby gift shops and at special events to enhance patient services and NorthBay programs, through the Wish List program. In 2018, $150,000 was allocated to purchase such items as equipment for the Emergency Department, Surgery and in the Sim Lab, as well as a training defibrillator and crash cart.
The Guild is also a major supporter of the annual NorthBay Nurse Camp, a weeklong program in which high school students interested in nursing careers can get an up-close look at the profession.
About 147 active teen volunteers logged a total of 3,004 hours of volunteer time in 2018. All are students in Solano County high schools.
NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement volunteers contributed 1,348 hours of patient and bereavement care for families and patients in their most dire time of need.
