Cancer Center Patients Benefit from Subaru Donation

Subaru of Fairfield once again teamed up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to spread some love, hope and warmth to NorthBay Cancer Center patients, by donating dozens of blankets for patients and arts and craft kits for their families.

This is the third time the local dealership has delivered blankets, activity kits and messages of hope. The messages were penned by Subaru customers who visited the dealership.

“We feel so fortunate that we are supported by Subaru in this way, and are able to make this kind of donation,” said Subaru of Fairfield’s Heather Graham. “We can get caught up in our everyday jobs, but getting out into the community like this gives us a chance to see that we’re doing something for others and letting them know we care.”

“We set out the blankets before our new infusion patients come in for treatment,” Magi Philpot, licensed clinical social worker for the NorthBay Cancer Center, explained. “The patients love them and they provide a sense of comfort during a very difficult time.”

This donation is part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative and the company’s ongoing partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society focused on donating thousands of blankets across the country.
