Cinco K Run for Good Health

Cinco K runners begin

Team NorthBay members put on their black-and-white #NorthBay T-shirts and turned out in full force at the Anheuser-Busch Visitors Center in May 2016 to run, jog and walk in the second annual Cinco K Run & Taco Fiesta, a fundraiser for the Fairfield Police Activities League.

NorthBay Healthcare was the presenting sponsor for the event, which drew nearly 700 participants, a 30 percent increase from the inaugural year, according to race organizers.

Team NorthBay was 150-plus strong and fielded the second-fastest runners in two events.

Chris Dalton, an IT systems engineer, who had completed the Boston Marathon a couple of weeks earlier, finished the 5K in 18:26. Ed Ballerini, chief clinical informatics officer, and also a veteran of the Boston Marathon, finished the 10K with a time of 45:46.

All participants were treated to a beer garden experience, complete with tacos.

The event raised $20,000 for Fairfield Police Activities League programs.
